Watching grandchildren grow!
Today is my grandson Sage's graduation day from kindergarten & for some reason, it's left me a little melancholy. It's hard to explain the love you have for a grandchild but this boy stole my heart the first time I saw those little black eyes looking up at me after he was born. We've been able to spend a great deal of time together because we're lucky enough to live in the same town & his parents have always wanted and encouraged us to be a part of all their lives. I think God hand picked this boy to be mine but today I just feel like it's going to be different. Different isn't always bad so I'm hoping that's true here. Happy graduation day Sage!!!

Summer is here!!!
I always say in the winter that I love summer & hot weather but when it finally gets here, I do nothing but complain. We worked so hard at the shop today (since tomorrow night is our grand opening soiree). It's looking very patriotic & summery. The shop was filled with visitors from all over the country on their way to Branson -- & waiting to eat at Lamberts (home of throwed rolls). It's an education everyday just talking to the people. I wanted to show some pictures of the shop but had to show the picture of little Bennie Arbeitman trying on a hat. Wish us luck!!!

My maiden voyage!
This is my first time to post on my blog. I've spent so many hours checking out all the wonderful blogs that I decided to plunge in with the help of my good friend Katie (Ragamuffin gal). It was decided to start with my back yard because it's such an important place for me & my family. As you can see it's very green right now due to the many "gullywashers" we've had. My garden is also progressing nicely -- yea!!!! We may be living off those vegies this summer with the price of gas.
I'm trying to get things made for the shop. I'm in (Leola's Vintage Home & Garden). We're having a big open house this weekend to celebrate my sisters, niece, & my taking over the shop almost 3 months ago. It was previously the Seedbox & we had our individual shops in it for almost a year but now it's ours. It's ours & several other ladies who share our passion for the previously used (both antique & vintage) & useing our individual tastes to create all kinds of wonderful things. I love to sew so you will be seeing some of the things I make in my little sewing/computer room. Wish me luck!!!
