New stuff......

We had such a good buying trip to Iowa.....some time we're taking a big truck.  Thanks to our excellent packing skills and help from Barb Conner (packs for antique shows regularly) we got an amazing amount in Jean's big ole Chevy.  Here are a few of the items I brought home and will be taking to Leola's.

The only one that won't be going is the painted chest.....it's mine.  I've wanted this for about 5 years and finally bought it.  Some things just speak to your soul and this one definitely speaks to mine.  Can't wait to get it cleaned up and bring it in the house.

I waxed the little drop-leaf side table and it turned out beautifully.  It's a really early walnut table that still has the pencil marks where it was handcut.  The small pine wall shelf is also an early piece with 2 shelves on the inside and the back is beadboard.  Can't wait to hang it on the wall.
