The grandgirls were at riding camp this week and this is what it looked like...
But, never-the-less, they loved it....
They were just really sad they couldn't take the horses home for pets....
They'll definitely do it again. Think they've fallen in love with horses.
I've tried to get some gardening done but find it kind of difficult with all the mud. We have had enough sun to encourage the growth of most of my veggies. The lettuce is wonderful but reeeeaaaallly dirty. The vinegar water method makes such a difference when cleaning it. If I let it soak for awhile, it comes out so clean.
I did manage to get a batch of strawberry jam made and in the freezer. Think the strawberries are done for this season with all the rain but blueberries are just appearing at farmer's market. Can't wait!
We've been working so hard at Leola's. We've been taking all the doors down and opening it up. We're intermixing our merchandise for better displays.
It's made such a difference.
My goal for this week is to get some pillows made. We're hoping business will pick up now that summer has begun. It's just been pokey and we don't know why. Keep your fingers crossed!!!!
Have a great weekend....

Love the pics of the girls on the horses....if this is north of town, it's right next door to the house I grew up in!! I'm with you, so tired of the rain, but it certainly is GREEN this year!! Can't wait to come visit at Leola's this summer...I'm guessing it's been slow due to all the rain.
This is at Valley Water Mill & I, too, grew up in this neck-of-the-woods! Jan
Our two Grandgirls are taking horseback riding lessons, too...unfortunately they're doing it in Ireland so we can't go watch them!
Leola's is looking wonderful! I could sure fill up the back of my pick-up truck there!
Stay dry!
How wonderful the girls got to do riding camp Jan! Every little girl should experience the joy of horses I think.
Your jam makes me want homemade bread and jam sandwiches-right now!
sending hugs...
