So much for a calm, relaxed summer but I'm so grateful. Have no idea where I'll go so may just store my "stuff" and stay with my sister until I find something. I've been here 33 years and probably would have stayed had it not been for all the steps. I don't do change very well needless to say. Would you believe I drive a 1997 Landcruiser that feels like part of my family. There are so many memories attached to this house.....mostly joyful but some sad. It's been a wonderful place to spend time with my large family and all my friends.....
My favorite room is my porch and I'll miss it the most....
Life goes on and things change and I will find a new place that I'll love.....as I said, I'm just not good with change.

Don't think change...think adventure!!! What fun you will have making a new nest! It's scary, but it can also be joyful...a new chapter! Wishing you the best of luck as you begin the next leg of your journey!

just the right timing Jan, your house is so great, perfect for a young family. that porch is amazing, I miss my porch too. This will be a new season in your life, so be ready for some great things to happen!
I too would be sad to leave that beautiful home...but home is where your heart and love ones are...one chapter in your life is closing while another opens...think of all those amazing adventures that await you...I wish you only the best on this new journey of yours...I look forward to future posts...Hugs from Maine...
did the same 15 years ago and its been a adventure, some happy some not so. Just try to enjoy and go. don' forget us in your adventure.
Lovely home - I'm not surprised it sold so fast! I would like to sell in the next year or so, but our house needs updating. The stairs are why I want to leave too- plus the 2 acres that require mowing! All the bedrooms are upstairs--and I have arthritis. I am ready to downsize--but the next place will have to have a porch!
It's a beautiful home. No wonder it sold so quickly. Forgot my comment on your other post. I see here you said you would stay with your sister if need be. Happy house hunting!
Congratulations for selling your house! It really looks so lovely, and I'm sure the new owners will love it. I guess you'll miss this place too. On the other hand, I hope that you find a nice house that will suit you best soon enough. It's certainly a new step for you. Good luck and take care!
