Speaking of lamps, I have 5 of these turned posts that I'm going to try to make into lamps. I found that one of my neighbors can drill the holes that I need so he's already done one & I'm working on it. It's the dark one I showed in an earlier post. Haven't decided yet what to use for the shade.
The weather was so nice today -- a little too warm in the afternoon but beautiful in the morning & this evening. There's definitely a feeling of fall in the air. Got lots of painting and waxing done on the back porch. Don't know what I'd do if someone called to see the house but it's been a couple of weeks since anyone has looked so don't think that's a problem.
My grandkids started back to school today. Can't believe their days at the pool are over. Thankfully, they don't seem to mind. They were all so happy with their new teachers and anxious to see their friends. Hope they never get over being excited about school.
Tomorrow is another busy day and maybe I'll have more pictures tomorrow night -- don't hold your breath.

I can just envision an evening open house with candles surrounded by so many beautiful things. Your pumpkins are delightful! I miss the smells and sights of Fall. Our mornings actually feel a bit better, if you consider 90 to be cooler. ha! Hard to believe August is just about over. time flies! Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
Is it that time again??? Something to look forward to my dear.
Oh,I won't be able to make the open house, mainly because I know there will be too many people for me to move around.....but.....I'm hoping to come by Friday or Saturday if I can find a buddy to drive. By then, I'll be sooooo ready for something fun like Leola's!
