It rained so hard today while a cold front was coming in. Tonight it is incredible. It's cool and the locusts are making that fall sound. Puts me in the mood to decorate for fall but guess I should wait awhile.
This was the big sale day at Fordland so Judy & I got up early trying to beat the crowd. When we arrived there were probably 25 people already there but we did get some cool things I love this orangey-reddish Adirondack bench. Some of the things I had purchased this past weekend before I broke my camera.
This was also sewing lesson for Kenda. She so wants to learn to sew so I promised to help. I was thinking a bag would be fun & really simple. Usually I make my own patterns but figured she would benefit from actually following a pattern. It turned out not to be the easiest bag but it's going to be so cute. I hope I didn't discourage her. Anyway, we didn't finish but will on Sunday.

OK, I love that bench so much I want to marry it, as Ruthann would say! And your pottery is waaaay cool. How sweet you are to help Kenda. You know she'll be creating all kinds of fantastic things! Glad you didn't get trampled at the sale!

That bench would steal anyone's heart!! I love the bag Kenda is making. My mom gave me her serger, brand new, she just never used it. I will need to get it out and try to figure it out. I think it is a winter project!! Too nice outside to be inside!
Congrats on the new camera purchase! Look at all those great pictures. You have got it going on now. I love the pottery shapes and colors. And again, great picture! This is going to be fun, isn't it? ~Mindy
Hi Jan~ Hope to visit your shop soon and see what's new. We did have fun in Iowa! ~Mandy
Good for you!!! I love the color combos to death. I am so ready for fall and cooler weather.
I found it easier to read the directions for my camera by going online and going to the mfg. site. It just seemed easier to read plus I didn't have to plow through stuff and could just type in what help I needed.

My camera is starting to show signs of over use...hope it holds out till spring.
Wasn't that storm front something, talk about a downpour...I was on my way home from Palo and traffic was a snail's pace down I-80, but no tornadoes, just buckets of rain...I can hear my grass growing, can you...and the cicadas, I wish they would stay all year, lulling me to sleep in the winter too, course I'd have to be living in Florida...hmmmm...
Have a great day friend!

Hi Jan,
Love the look of that bag. I can't wait to see the finished project. I wish I had a sewing machine...when I sew anything, I do it by hand. Ugh! The bags you were commenting on in one of my earlier posts were Heidi Comfort's design, they retail, at my place, for $148. They are $300 - $400 on the the east coast. She gives me a special deal...so I pass it on. :-)Love the new pictures.
