New bedding is in order....

I've decided to make new bedding in my bedroom. It's been the same for years and it's time for a new look. I tore the picture below out of a magazine years ago & have had it hanging in my work room just waiting. My collection of old linen is growing but I'd rather use new fabric. It's hard to find new linen that looks like this so I'm on the hunt.

I also love the boxed pillow shams. My bed is a red 4-poster that may soon be a white 4-poster.
By the way, I now have a new laptop. I brought it home, unpacked everything they said I needed & began what was supposed to be a simple hook-up. Give me a break!!!! I started reading the instructions & I almost laughed. I did not understand a thing they wrote. So now I have to wait for someone to come & see if they can get me started. Bummer!!!
Have a good Sunday.

Hi Jan , what a beautiful and tranquil choice. I want to see it when you get it all put together. Have fun with the new computer!

My favorite color combo, especially in a bedroom, calm and serene

I like the idea of the white. Maybe red has had it's day and it's time to move on. Can't wait to see what you do! ~Mindy

That is one of my favorite bedrooms of all time. I have the same page torn out and in my style file(of which I have none). That's one Texas girl with a lot of talent. Good luck with laptop. I loved to have one, but I'm just learning to use what I got. Debbie

Love your ideas ~ you should see what I'm up to at my house (of course all I have are pictures right now too! I need to get rid of lots of things)

Do you have any opening this week that I could pop over or are you free a night for dinner? (You could come over here or we could go out. I love you and need my Jan fix! Blessings, Katie

Hi Jan, thanks for leaving the nice comment on my blog. The ice storm sure made a dent in Ky. My daughter lives 3 hrs. north and what a difference! I met her in Nashville this morning to take our grandson back who has been with us for 11 days. They still have no power, but the schools do, so they are back in school tomorrow.

I read through your blog and I am so sorry about the loss of your husband. I cannot imagine what that would be like to go through, but you seem like a very strong lady who is pressing forward. I will keep you in my prayers! I love what you are doing for your new bed look! You will have to post it when you finish. I am adding you to my blog list. I have enjoyed visiting, Blessings, carrell

Always wanted a 4 poster, but the bedroom in the 'shack' has low vaulted ceilings, but my old iron-sides works just dandy.

Yes I have a glycerin soap that's really popular and great for the skin(face and body), called Oatmeal, Milk & Honey, with organic oatmeal...it's a creamy color and smells devine! Everyone loves it in the chunky uneven cuts...lemme know gal.

It's 60 degrees today...yippee!!!
