We're off on another adventure...

Judy, Jean, Brenda & myself are taking off tomorrow for a little antiquing trip. I'm a little concerned about driving everyone crazy with my cough but not concerned enough to stay home. They may make me get a room to myself. Tomorrow night we're staying in Bonaparte, Iowa, at the Bonaparte Inn but from there, who knows. We're going to see Barb from Simply Iowa blog & then try to find that Sharon from Sweet Repose who keeps moving around. She's in a shop in the Amana Colonies where we're wanting to go and we also want to check out Mt. Vernon.

I'll take lots of pictures and if possible, may even post on the road. The leaves should be gorgeous and it's definitely fall weather. They even had some snow in Iowa today but Barb assured us it has melted.

While I'm gone, by brother-in-law, Mike, is coming to paint my house. I can't wait to come home and see it brown after it's been blue for so long. Then in about 2 wks. I'm having wood flooring put down in my great room & hall way. My nephew, Denny, came & measured for me & the stores he works for are going to do it. I'm so excited. I've wanted to do this forever. I'm so grateful to Mike for always being there for me. Don't know what I'd do without him & Susan.

Talk to you in a few days.

Don't you love girl's road trips? I hope your cough is all better and y'all are having fun. And I'm so glad you have such wonderful family who is there to help you out. Sorry I've been away so long. Am hoping to get caught up on everyone soon. As always, thanks for comments. ~Mindy

Hey Girlie,
I am just heading for the sack, and saw your comment! YIKES!!! I feel sooooo quilty for taking the day off! The shop is a mess, so wear your grubbies! I will try and get a few boxes of Christmas out, they are still loaded in the trailer. While in Bonneparte, note Main street, one of my funniest memories is still rolling all over that street... I have it written on my blog, I'll look it up... It's a day I will never forget!
Can't wait to see ya!

Hey Jan, check out my blog on the second page, about half way down, titled "on the road again". This day will be forever burned into my brain...
See Ya Soon!

I'd love to meet you when you are in Mount Vernon. I will be in and out of the shop, but we're open from 10-5 all week. If you end up needing a place to stay, my hubby and I run a bed and breakfast in Mount Vernon as well as our antique shop. Call ahead if you can and I will do my best to get some Christmas ornaments out for you to look through if you give me a heads up on an arrival time. Hope to get to meet you... Polly Ann

Well that just sounds like too much fun! If you read this in time, and see Sharon, please tell her "hey" from me. Hope your cough doesn't get you down.

My Brave little soul...
Have you made it home? Hope your Sis is doing well, and all are safe and sound. I truly enjoyed our time together, what a wonderful group of girls...
Thanks for accepting the Shop, in 'After Sale' decor...
And yes, you do 'get' me...But I don't think you are 'crazy', like me... Much more balanced, and structured...something I strive for, but can never seem to take hold of... I quess I'm a little too much Gypsy....or Bohemian... And yes, too many fires to be put out, everyday...Polly and I would love to come and visit, time...That's all we need...
Thanks again, Jan, for the wonderful visit.
