We finally had a day where I could work outside. Almost all the snow is gone & green things are peeking up. Our garden show is being held this weekend and it's suppose to rain -- not snow. It'll be nice to wash all the yuck off the streets.
We also had an antique sale in town this weekend. I ran by this afternoon and picked up a few things but most was glassware. No one wants to schlep around those heavy pieces of furniture when they can sell a Majolica plate for $285.
My new favorite color for Spring is pink. I've never been much of a pink person but for some reason it's looking really good. After deciding that my g'girls would love pink Easter baskets, I decided to get some spray paint. Well, as you can see, the baskets turned out yummy. Now I'm looking in the garage for anything I could paint pink -- not the car or lawnmower. Maybe I'll paint my garden tiller.
This little girl garden statue is adorable. She was on the back porch this winter & I couldn't bear seeing her so cold so I brought her into the kitchen. I think her facial expression changed. A past owner painted her eyes black but I'm afraid to mess with them.
I love this box. Just wish I had taken a picture of the "before". It was very rough with several colors of paint dotted around on it. I used a trace of blue paint that was already on the box & worked it in with my stain. Then I waxed it. It really soaked up the wax.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
