Wild Strawberry Cake...... YUMMY!!!!!

I made this strawberry cake yesterday and was it ever yummy.  Found the recipe on Garden Antiques Vintage blog (Therese's) and decided to try it for Judy's birthday party last night.  It was a big success.  We had such a good time and it was a beautiful night for sitting on the backporch.

We're going to have a beautiful, warm weekend so plan to spend some time enjoying it.  That's one of the best things about having people over -- you get the house and porch cleaned.  Now maybe I can set and enjoy it.

Have a great weekend!

Just got finished pickin' another bucket of strawberries and read your comment...as soon as I flipped onto your blog and saw that cake,...WOW...let the drool begin!!!

Went over to the Mennonite Girls and got the recipe for the strawberry jam...gonna make some real soon. I just got an order for 21 batches of soap from the Amanas, Sandy's shop, she used to manage the old Noe House that Lorie and I were in...whew, that's gonna wear this ol' gal out, but it's a good excuse to turn on the air, gotta be dry in the house.

Thanks for the heads-up, wish I could send ya some berries!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDY...FROM IOWA!!!

Okay.... now you've got me all hungry for sweets! That strawberry cake looks luscious, and I've had those cupcakes at Tea Bar (maybe when we went) but also several other times. Delicious! Jan, thanks for your sweet comment about Rosie. Planning to get to the shop soon...
