What I did on my summer vacation......

So here's what I did this week on my summer vacation.  I went with Allison and the kids to northern Missouri to take Sage to camp.  We dropped him at camp on Mon. morning -- which wasn't as easy as we had thought.  Last year Allison went with him so this was the first time to leave him alone.  He was fine with it but it kind of bothered us.
After we left him, we headed to St. Joseph to visit Aunt Susan and Uncle Mike.  We had such a good time.  Allison took the girls to the water park which is one of their public pools and also was the pool where Allison's dad worked when he was in high school and college.  It's a great facility and the girls loved it.

We also had time for a trip to the Rusty Chandelier.  I was able to find a few things but the girls enjoyed trying on clothes.

They were a riot and I might add, very good shoppers.  It's a huge store and is attached to a flea market so lots to see.

We didn't have much room in the car so I just purchased a few small things.  I could have done lots more damage if we'd had more room but we couldn't decide which kid to leave behind.

A friend had made this nosegay for Susan and I loved it.  Took lots of pictures so maybe I could make it.

What a wonderful invention -- the car DVD.

Hope everyone has a great 4th of July holiday.  Stay safe!!!

We loved having you all at our house ! Made us think alittle about where we're going to put our twin grandkids when they visit. We really need to get together more!

My Dad would've paid a fortune, back in the day, for a car DVD, to keep his two heathens from fighting on trips...hope you had a grand time...what a pair of cuties!

BTW...the beetles are just coming on now, guess they couldn't handle all the storms!
