The fireplace is painted.....

My plan was to take the mantle off & put a really old mantle on the fireplace but the screws were stripped.  That was one of Mike's favorite things to do -- strip screws.  So I just decided to leave it for now.  If I don't like it then I'll have to cut the screws.

It's completely painted now but I didn't get a picture -- too pooped.  My right hand is permanently drawn up from gripping the short brush so hard.  But it's mostly done.  I may do a little work on it to make it look more worn.  Just can't believe how much brighter the room looks.  Now I want to paint the walls.  It never ends.

I work at Leola's tomorrow but on Tuesday I hope to start with the decorations.  My plan is to keep it pretty simple this year and use more real greenery and paperwhites.  Also want to recover the pillows on the couch.  Looks like I need to stay home & get some work done.  I'll post the finished project SOON.

Have a great week.
