We had our Leola's Christmas party last night at sister Judy's house. First of all, her house looked amazing. Her house is amazing but Judy has such an eye for decorating that she makes a house look over-the-top. And you would not have believed the aromas coming from her kitchen. Her husband had grilled 2 beautiful beef tenderloins and she added twice-baked potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts. What a wonderful meal. Then everyone brought cookies or fudge. It was a bit of an understatement to say I was "stuffed" but it was all so good.
We played the game with our gifts where everyone gets a # and you pick a present but everyone after you can either take yours or pick a present from the pile. Well, we had a few little wrestling matches and words were expressed that probably belonged in a barroom. It was crazy! What was really funny was that most of the fighting was over one of Pam's "PEACE" pillows. Personally, I felt that was wrong in so many ways (even if I participated).
I'll try to post more pictures tomorrow. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Beautiful! Sounds like such a wonderful time. We have played that gift game at baby showers and I tell you, some people get a little feisty! That PEACE pillow is so lovely. I can see why folks would be wrestling over it. :) Wishing you an extra special Sunday filled with peace and happiness. Tammy
I bet you girls put on a great party! I would have been after that peace pillow myself. I look outside this morning, and wistfully think about spring..... Already looking forward to Leola's spring open house I guess...
You Routh girls are way too much fun - I want to know who got the peace pillow because I might have been after it but very nicely of course. I think all of you have a great knack in decorating. Each of you have a wonderful holiday and a healthy 2011.
