It's a snow day.....

Even at my age, there's something exciting about hearing those words on the morning news -- "school is cancelled".  It doesn't take much snow in our part of the world to cancel school but for several reasons.  Mainly because we don't have the equipment to clean the roads like they do in parts of the country that has more of the white stuff then here in southern Missouri.  Also, we're kind of a hilly area with lots of country roads that can get very treacherous.  We have a new superintendent that hails from Colorado so you know the weather is bad if he cancels.

Haven't accomplished much this week.  I did have Kristi's birthday party with all the women from Leola's on Sunday night.  Then on Monday I had to start the ordeal before having a colonoscopy -- Tuesday was the procedure.  Sure glad I don't have to do that for 10 more years.  I was supposed to work today but we figured there wouldn't be much reason to open plus it will give our landlord a chance to clear the parking lot.  My plan is to work on some old pillowtops I bought at Tattered Treasures in Lebanon.  They were badly stained but I've soaked and washed them repeatedly and they are now beautiful and white.  Can't wait to see how they turn out.

Hope all of you have a wonderful day and if you're in the large area of the country that is having snow, enjoy your snow day.

Hi Jan,
Enjoy your snow day ! We are having one too, even though they waited till the last minute to call school off. I'm babysitting my littlest grandbaby today , no daycare today either. I can't wait till the weather clears up and we get a chance to get up to Leola's again.
