Let the give-away begin......

Finally, I have 101 followers.  I know that's not a big deal to most but it is to me.  When I started this blog, I told myself I was doing it as a creative outlet for me....not a popularity contest.  There have been times that I've been really down about it but I just try to remember why I'm doing it.  The hardest part for me has been leaving comments for people that you genuinely enjoy their blog and like them but they never reciprocate.  I've tried to narrow down my comments so the rejection is not so great.  My sincere hope is that I've never made someone feel that their comment wasn't important because believe me, I'm sooooo appreciative of everyone who stops in & especially those who leave a comment.
So onward and upward & let the give-away begin.  This is the lamp that will be given away.

If you will leave me a comment, I'll put your name in the drawing & also you must be a follower.  I'll close the drawing on Sun. evening, Feb. 6 and choose the winner on Mon. morning.  Thanks, in advance, for entering (if you choose to).

Congratulations on hitting 101! One day, I hope to hit the same milestone. You know I love your blog, and when I go to Leola's, you're the face I hope to see behind the counter.

Jan--I have appreciated tne comments you have left for me but I am not smart enough to leave you a comment--finally asked my son during his visit last weekend and he said I have to sign up with google. Your post today encouraged me to take the time to sign up--not that I want to be entered in your drawing but that I wanted to finally let you know I appreciated your comments and to encourage you in your blogging--I do enjoy your sharing. Hi Jan,

I was on Artsy Fartsy earlier and started clicking through to other blogs and ended up here. So glad I did.
What a sweet blog you have.
You are so talented.
You must be doing something right, seems you have a beautiful family and loyal blog readers, customers and friends. Please don't question yourself too much, even though I don't know you, I'll bet you are the very best you that anyone could be.
I love the way your chair is coming along, you are braver than I. I've always wanted to reupholster, just do not have the guts for it.
And these are beautiful lampshades. I just started really liking toile last year (think I spelt it right), when I bought a queensize toile quilt. Red and white. I love it. That lamp would really set it off.
I am part of One World One Heart blog event right now, so being a blogger, you are certainly invited to come over and leave a comment while visiting my blog for a chance to win my "Have a Little Heart" mixed media necklace.
Hope to see you there.
I am now following this here blog.

Susan - didn't make the lamp base but I painted it to go with the shade. Looks much better kind of off-white. Jan

From the sister who tells it like it is, I know you have heard this before. It is not the quantity of followers, but the quality. I think your followers are people of superior intelligence and taste and that means everything! Judy
