It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood....

Wish I could clone this day and make a year's worth of them.  It is gorgeous and everything is blooming.  It's impossible to describe the beautiful fragrance outside.  The lilacs are just beginning to bloom and there's nothing better then a big ole bouquet.  This one is sitting on the table I've been working on.  It isn't vintage but I loved the legs.

Hope to get some work done at Leola's this weekend.  It's so hard to get the yard done, the house cleaned, and the shop taken care of.  This is when I know I really need a smaller place but then I sit down on my back porch & think -- maybe tomorrow.

Have a great weekend.

One of these days our slow lilac bush will mature enough to produce flowers...in the meantime we have our heirloom Golden Currant (mistakenly called spice bush by those before me)because of the glorious clove fragrance of the blooms. Heavenly.

That is a lovely table and the lilacs are gorgeous in that aqua vase on your back porch. I look at your porch and think someday...

How pretty. I've been trying to figure out some ideas for planting in my backyard...inexperienced gardener plus ultra shade equals lots of thinking and very little doing. I'm listening to the thunder rumble now...wonder how much rain we'll get tonight? Have a great week...

Oh girl, I'm with ya on the never ending work.
Sometimes I think I'm crazy for having so many projects, but I just take it one day at a time, minute by minute and if the floors don't get swept, so be it...cause I was sitting with my peeps in their hood...ahhhh paradise!!!

I'm green with envy over the lilacs though, but tomorrow I have to make lilac soap, so that may help...ha!!!

Enjoy the weather, bummer about the rhubarb!!!

My house is small and I really should be able to keep up with it , but the yard is big ... But this year my 13 year old granddaughter wants to mow to earn money . Maybe that will last for a couple of years , then by that time my grandson will be old enough to want to earn money, so I will tough it out as long as I can , I really can't see me living anywhere else.
