Rain, rain, go away......

We have had so much rain that we're all about to float away.  I woke this morning to water in my basement and garage.  So guess what I did all day.  Luckily, I can open my basement door into the garage and let it run out.  It mainly just soaked into the carpet.
My intention has been, for quite some time, to get a storage spot and move most of the things out of my basement in preparation for putting the house on the market.  This just rushed the decision.  So while I was loading my car and running back and forth to the storage place, there was a police helicopter circling my neighborhood.  Turns out, they were chasing a man they thought was connected to a double murder that occurred early Monday morning in a neighborhood close by.  How scary is that?

This is a ditch across from my house that they built for run-off.  It actually had little white caps on it.

I'm just grateful that we've not had the tornadoes or the terrible flooding so many have had.  There seem to be so many people suffering right now.  I pray that we all get a break very soon.

I am praying for a break soon too. I will gladly pay to water my garden for a while.
My Husband is down in S AL (from central IL) to get our stuff out of storage and bring it home. First he found a bolt in the tire and had to wait for U Haul to come and replace the tire..that made him fall behind on loading up...said he needs about 2 hours to finish and now they are forcasting BAD storms for down there..I just want this to be over and my yard to dry up so we can plant our garden

Although we could use some rain here, it likely won't happen the later in the season we get. I do hope the rain clears for you so that you can get dried out. And I hope they caught the man on the run. Yikes! That is scary. I've been watching the news about the serial killer in NY and it is just awful. I will never understand that kind of evil. Have a wonderful Wednesday, Tammy

Oh my gosh! A week ago there was a guy hiding behind a neighbors shed. The police ended up chasing him on foot right down our street. My neighbor across the street had called and warned us to lock doors. He was picked up as a suspect, but apparently not the guy. Pretty scary and still don't know why he was hiding at our neighbors house! Well, rain expected later today, and I picked up several pots of flowers yesterday, so I'm planting this morning. Really hope to see you soon. Oh, yes, wearing the bracelet feels good right now, although she's doing well considering her circumstances. Drawing like crazy and had a little art show at her place a couple of weeks ago. It was uplifting and fun to see her so happy.

I think it's gone for awhile ~ how ironic that Artfest was dry this year! Oh I do hope that I get a chance to visit Leolas this week! Soon I will have more free time and I would love to get together with you! Maybe we could drink coffee and hook on some simple rug projects, that would be relaxing. Blessings on this Mother's Day, I know for a fact that you are one of the best (grandmother too!) <3
