A little fall decorating!

I am so far behind in everything. Finally, there are a few fall decorations out but most of my Halloween will not be out this year. The g'kids don't seem to notice & I just can't find the time. Their house looks like Halloween central & this time of the year they're so busy all the time that we don't see as much of them. My time has been spent on trying to get things ready for Leola's Holiday Open House & since I didn't start until about a month ago, I'm a little stressed.

Here's my mantle. I've wanted to paint it for years but so far haven't gotten around to it.

This is my red entry hall. One of my collections is yellowware & spongeware, & I especially like it this time of the year. That's some of my wool applique in the frames.
This cabinet is in my living room & holds more of my yellowware & some of my turkey collection. The pillows are more of my work. The one with the house applique is going to Leola's.

LOVE your turkey collection, and your fall house photos! I'm a sucker for anything Thanksgiving. I nabbed an awesome yelloware bowl over the weekend. (with a crown marker on the bottom) When I found out how much it's worth I seemed to have started a new "collection".
Whew, how many more days until Open House???!!! yikes.

Fun collections...wish I had a fireplace, just love the look and feel of it in a room...I'll take a wood-burner too, either one as long as it keeps my house a little warmer without turning the furnace up. I've had to turn it on twice now, don't like the sound of that.

Have fun fall decoratin'...

I love your country look. Sometimes I wish I had done more of that theme in my house instead of just one room. Someday I guess, there is still hope....Nice blog I enjoyed it.
