Fall decorating at Leola's......

Thought the front of Leola's looked so great this weekend. Everyone brought in mums, bittersweet, twig wreaths & various other fall things to make the front look quite autumnal.

We finally talked Judy into getting a new washer & she brought her old one down to fill with mums (that's a joke). I do remember when my Mom used to wash in one of these and run that laundry through the ringer. Then take it out and hang it all on the line -- for a family of 10.
Judy made the scarecrow.

The bittersweet is gorgeous this year. We've had rains all summer and not too much heat so should be an amazing fall. If you haven't ever seen the Ozarks in the fall, you don't know what you're missing.

Sorry, those big ole orange rockers just sold. A nice young couple is remodeling an old farmhouse and plan on setting out on their front porch in these chairs.

Hi Jan, I was wondering if you sell the bittersweet vines in your shop? If so, do you, or could you ship?

I love your fall decorations. I so hate to say goodbye to summer though. So off I will go kicking and screaming into the fall and I will now start my fall decor, thanks for the motivation!!!! Rhonda

We could ship bittersweet since it's so light and we do sell it. I'll check tomorrow about price and availability. Are you interested in bunches or long strands? My email is wellsjm70&sbcglobal.net. Send me the info & then I can email what I find out. Jan

It looks fabulous...and everyone's favorite time of year makes me sad that we have to say goodbye to summer, but we must move on...

and speaking of moving on, we are closing the shop in Palo and moving to the Amana Colonies, we are just doing a booth for now, but it's purely economical...and the landlord told us he was going to sell the house and wants us to sign a years lease...and what, then have to leave at the end of a year anyway...NOT...

So we are making the move now, wish you could've seen the lil' cottage and we will miss it big time, but we have to make a living and this winter is supposed to be a doozie(they all are)...check out 'White' for pending details...later gal!

Hi Jan! Your fall open house was fantastic! I got to meet sweet Kenda, but sorry I missed meeting you. I bought a tall skinny pumpkin head girl, a crow decal for a friend and my Favorite thing...a Cranberry Apple Marmalade candle. Absolutely THE BEST candle I've ever had!!! I hesitated even telling anyone about them so I could buy the rest for myself and for gifts!!! It smells so good unlit, but it also smells soooo good when it's burning~where alot of other candles fall short.

Hi Jan,
I am sad that you can't make it to Gold Rush, all is not lost... Come to my Fall Harvest Sale! I'm only 90 miles from the MO. border!
I would love to meet you, and send you on to some other wonderful places, where I love to shop!
Love the bittersweet, mine is finally bearing, this year!
Take care!
