If you hadn't noticed, I haven't blogged for a week. I've had kind of a sore throat, sinus, all around crappy feeling kind of a thing (not the technical name). I'm going to try hard to ignore it and see if it will go away.

I'm also trying to make a decision on my house. My sister-in-law, Susan & brother-in-law, Mike, came this weekend. Mike power washed the house & got it ready to be painted. Below are the colors I'm using. The darker green/brown color will be the house. The lighter beige will be trim around windows. The red will be the door and I was thinking the shutters but now I'm not so sure. Maybe I could even paint them red & sand them a little then stain to age. Anyone have any ideas?

I love all of these shutters. Mike is going to make them for me so they'll look like real shutters. Here's another idea -- just stained.

Can't wait to get the house painted but I'm just not sure what I want. Any help will be appreciated.

Jan, Our house is a little stucco bungalow and we painted it Red Bay by Sherwin Williams. The trim is Sands of Time SW and the front door is almost cobalt blue! I love the red color for the whole house, however it has faded terribly in just a few years! But, obviously I Love your color choices!
Please check out my blog too~We rented a booth at STD!
Coming to Leola's Saturday. Maybe I can get a piece of the Sweet Annie for my seeds!?!?!

Hi Jan,

I really hope you're feeling better. So many people have been sick lately! I'm excited about your house. I think all you ideas sound fab, and with your taste I know it will turn out wonderful! I'm on my third clutch (and have found a place for them, more on that later), then I'll get started on your bag. Hoping to get by the shop sometime next week. Oh, do you have any new wonderful necklaces (the altered ones in that back booth on the right)? I bought one, just love it, and need another!

Hey Jan, I've got the same thing with the cruddy feeling and sore throat. Think I caught it from Mom. She had a cough while she was in the hospital. I have her all moved out of her apt. and now she's living in a nursing home. Makes me feel sad.

I love your idea of the stained shutters. Happy painting!
