PEACE

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. That's a song that I love so much by Vince Gill. These words stick in my mind and seem to pop up at just the right moments. There's so much craziness going on right now; not only in the big wide world but right here in my world.

Judy's beautiful 15-yr. old grandson, John, who has spinalbifyda, is in the hospital with some serious issues. He's the sweetest boy and he's been through so much in his 15 years, just pray that God will see him through this ordeal with no more discomfort -- he's had enough.

Then my friend Brenda's son Shannon had the flu on Dec. 4 & on the 5th went into the hospital and has yet to be released. It's just been one thing after another. He was to go home today to be with his wife and 3 children and he's developed a fever again. His 7 yr. old daughter has such a difficult time understanding it and she's so sad. Pray, again, that Shannon can very soon go home and get his life back and be aware everyday how grateful we should be for a "normal" day.

Then there's Zoe, who's my step-granddaughter, who just had a baby boy . He was born with lots of problems almost 2 mths. ago. She just was able to bring him home from the hospital with all kinds of equipment. Please pray that he will defy all the odds and grow into a strong, healthy baby & that his tough Mom will stay tough and be able to deal with what's ahead for her.

Through all of these trials, we're all so aware of how blessed we are. First of all, we have a strong faith in our Heavenly Father & secondly, we have each other. Tonight when we're at church I pray that we're all touched with what Christmas is all about. That we allow him to come into our hearts and leave with the peace that only HE can bring. I'll also pray for John Lake, Shannon, Landon, Zoe and for all the rest of us who love them so much. I'll also thank him for all the blessings he bestows on us.

I wish all of you a wonderful Christmas and pray that 2010 will be the beginning of peace all over the world. I know that's quite a prayer but it has to begin with someone -- let it begin with me.

Merry Christmas, Jan...
What a wonderful dedication... To remember, those who suffer... And the best time of all, to be reminded, of The Promise... That is why He was born, for us, all of us...And the Promise, our life here, may be troubled, but this is only a blink... Where we will spend Eternity, that is a wonderful place...
I love Vince Gill, too... He, like Allison, has an Angels Voice...
Have a Merry Christmas, my dear friend...My Angel...

Loving wishes and a Merry Christmas, my sister. You are always on my mind and in my heart's prayers. If there is one thing I know, it's that the Routh Clan is close in your bond with eachother through thick or thin and that your strong faith in God will carry you as you trudge this rough road. I pray all will get well, and that 2010 brings blessings of Peace. Love you bunches.
Hugs,
