Monday at Leola's......

It's a cold, blustery day in the Ozarks.  It's a good day to work -- you know what they say "rainy days and Mondays always make me cry".  But when it's a rainy Monday, it's a double whamey.  My Mother alwarys referred to this last blast of winter as "blackberry winter" which referred to the fact that blackberries needed a little cold to set the fruit.  Well, this should really work.

Since I'm at Leola's today, I decided to show what Kelli does in her area.  I somehow got sidetracked and didn't get all the girls featured.  Kelli is one of the owners and is Linda's daughter and my niece.  She's very creative in both her home and her space at Leola's really show that.

It's been a good and busy day at Leola's even with the lousy weather.  Sometimes I think people want to get out on Monday if the weather is bad.  Anyway, have a great week and hope for warmer weather (minus the storms).

Lovin' the stuff in Kelli's booth!
And I just heard over the weekend that blackberry winter is when the blackberries are finishing blooming and the white blooms start falling like snowflakes! That just happened with the locust trees in our yard! And they perfume the whole yard.
Going to throw out the sweet annie seeds that I got from Jan last fall. Sure hope they come up!

I soooo need to get to Leola's to look around. Can't believe the cold snap we had and then how much warmer it was this morning....wow...what a difference. My mother-in-law also calls this weather "blackberry winter".
Must stop by this weekend.

Wow, I love your blog. It just speaks to me! We are picking blackberries now but living in Arizona we don't get a cold snap to make them sweet! Some of them really pucker you up!
