Happy St. Patrick's Day.......

I know.....I'm a little late but it was a very busy day.  The weather was incredible so some of us decided it would be fun to go to the parade in Springfield.  The St. Patty's Day parade is always such a hoot but with today's weather it brought all the crazies out and many not so crazies.

It started on historic Commercial St. and then wound up in downtown.  We decided to head to Commercial St. since we were guaranteed a parking place at a family business.  Here are a few of the pics I snapped.
The kids caught tons of candy (they put them in poor Dad's cargo shorts pockets).  He was having a difficult time keeping them up by the end of the parade.  They also had lots of necklaces.
People hanging out of windows.

Phoebe wanted to pose with these gentlemen who own a wonderful antiques shop on Commercial Street.
Grandson Sage who still isn't feeling real well after a bout of pneumonia.
Stella, who seems to have a knack for getting the most candy thrown her way.

It was great fun and a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

I've never been to the St.Patrick's Day parade before, it looked fun! Perfect weather for a March parade too.

Looks like ya'll were definitely having beautiful weather. We had dust, dust and more dust but fortunately it cleared today. Have a great week. Tammy

So much gorgeous green! Love the pictures of kiddos decked out for St. Pat's! It was a great day for the parade (which is unusual). I was at the shop last week, and looking forward to a return visit soon. Miss you... would love to have lunch or a quick cup of tea!
