My kitchen cabinets.....

Finally got the cabinet doors installed and knobs and handles placed.  I love the way they look.  Brother-in-law, Mike, came this week and finished the cabinets, put the trim up on the ceiling, and gave it the final coat of paint.

Now I have to decide what to paint the walls.  Presently, they're covered with a dated red wallpaper and I think they need to be lightened to a linen or maybe a little darker because the kitchen is dark.  Any suggestions!

Ginny, who painted my cabinets, did a wonderful job.  She really is an artist at what she does.

We left the holes and cracks in the ceiling.  It needed to look like an old farmhouse ceiling.

It's been a cold and rainy day in the Ozarks and was grateful to have the distraction of the kitchen plus the company of g'girl, Phoebe.  Hope you're having a good weekend and staying warm.

Your cabinets look great! I love the pulls. Yesterday was such a great afternoon and evening to stay inside. I'm pretty glad it's dry this morning though.

I love your cabinets. My kitchen is currently a pretty apple green with lots of red everywhere else -- curtains, appliances, etc. I'm thinking of painting it a pretty Benjamin Moore blue I found when looking at Susan Branch's blog, for something different. Besides, I want to borrow my blue and white china back from my daughter and loan her my Fiesta!

So. . .here's a link to Susan Branch's blog about her kitchen remodel. Just kinda like the look of it for something different.

I think the darker undertone in your cabinets would be a good wall color. With your ironstone and dark primitive furniture, it would allow you to use some blue, red, or green accent. Just my opinion:-)

Oh I love how your cabinets turned out Jan!!! Everything is looking awesome in your kitchen and I'll bet you will love it when it's all done.
I can't wait to see what you decide on the walls!

We are going through the same decision making processes now. We have decided to go full overlay - it's more cost-effective, looks just as great in my opinion and you maximize the storage space in each cabinet. I think it's a no-brainer. It will look fabulous either way!
love your kitchen remodeling ! I have been agonizing over what color to paint the walls once I paint my cabinets white. but Iam inspired by your all white kitchen and using the pops of color instead of colored wall paint!
