It's a blizzard.....

What is going on this winter!!!!  We've had one snowstorm after another, freezing temps and today a full-fledged blizzard.....and this is southern Missouri!  It's just so out of the ordinary for us.  Last night the wind whistled around the house and temps dropped.  Woke this morning to lots of snow and cold, cold, cold....All the churches in town were even cancelled.
My backporch has snow all over it from the high winds....
I must admit I'm loving using my new camera.  I've been watching lots of online videos showing how to use my exact camera.  It's so much easier when you can see what someone is doing versus trying to understand the technical instruction booklets.
Judy and I did get out yesterday and go to a sale in Lebanon and found a few things.  Love to buy benches but have had a difficult time finding them.  Well, I found three yesterday.  One is painted green so won't do anything to it but two are primitive, dry wood so think I'll put a polyurethane finish on them.  I just feel that if people are using them for a coffee table or side table where they'll be setting drinks, they'll need a finish on them.  Also, I don't want a splinter when trying to dust.  Because it's so darn cold, think I'll go work in Leola's backroom.  Sometimes I think people like to come in and see people working.  Schools are all closed tomorrow so will probably have to wait a few days.

Think I'll spend the rest of this Sunday afternoon reading the new book I just started.  Soups finished, house is warm & chai tea is in the microwave.  All's well with the world!

Stay safe and stay warm!

Good evening Jan, glad you are warm, safe and nestled in... Due to the weather here in Maine I have not left the house since Christmas...Tomorrow I am heading out regardless of the weather, I dislike driving in snow, even if it is just to browse about Target...

Despite the weather I like how the chair built! The benches, it looks like snow. I love how the shade corresponds to the weather. It’s wonderful to have a cup of coffee to your table! Thanks for sharing a few thoughts!
